It runs from the Saturday to the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, though pre-carnival events start in January with the Lectura del Bando. The main events are the Battle of Flowers, the Great Parade of Tradition, the Great Parade of Comparsas, the Orchestra Festival and the Burial of Joselito.
